Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is tufting? Do I need any experience to attend a tufting workshop?

Tufting is a textile art technique where yarn is punched through a fabric base using a tufting gun to create rugs, wall hangings, and other soft furnishings. It’s a fun and creative way to make custom designs with a variety of textures and colors.
No experience is necessary! Our workshops are designed for beginners and experienced crafters alike. Our team will guide you through the entire process.

2. What is included in the workshop? What do I need to prepare before the class?
All materials and equipment, including the tufting gun, yarn, and backing fabric, are provided. You'll also get expert instruction on how to design, tuft, and finish your own custom piece.
No drawing skills are required, as you will be projecting your image onto the tufting canvas before tracing. It is important to save all of these designs on your phone. We encourage you to bring your own design, but we also have templates available if you need inspiration. We would appreciate it if you could send it to us before the class. We can also help pre-trace it on the canvas for you upon request.

3. How long does a typical workshop last?
Our workshops usually last between 3 to 5 hours, depending on the size and complexity of the piece you're creating. We’ll ensure you have enough time to complete your project.

4. Is there an age limit for the workshop?
Our workshops are best suited for individuals 12 and older. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Additionally, the tufting process can be quite lengthy, and younger children may have difficulty maintaining focus for an extended period.

5. How do I book a workshop? Do you accept walk-ins?
You can book your workshop directly on our website or contact us to schedule a private group event. We offer both in-studio workshops and outcall tufting group events at your location. We recommend scheduling your visit at least 1 week ahead of time.
If you feel like walking in for a session, feel free to give us a call before the daily session begins (at 11:30AM) and we’ll try our best to fit you in for the day.

6. Can I schedule a private event or party?
Yes! We offer private tufting workshops for special occasions like birthdays, corporate events, or team-building activities. Just contact us to discuss availability and customization options.
7. How many people can work on the same tufting piece?

By default, each reservation is for one person working on their own piece. For our small-size frames, only one person can work on the canvas at a time. However, if you'd like to work as a pair, we recommend booking a medium or large-size frame, which allows two people to share and tuft on the same canvas. Please make sure to select the appropriate frame size when booking if you're planning to tuft with a partner.

8. How do I care for my finished tufted piece?
After tufting, we’ll guide you on how to care for your handmade piece. Most tufted items can be spot-cleaned with mild detergent and water, but we will provide more detailed care instructions depending on your project.

This allows us to adjust availability and offer the spot to other guests. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment may result in forfeiture of the initial deposit.
